Do Good Challenge Finals

The annual, campus-wide Do Good Challenge inspires students to pursue fearless ideas, spark innovative solutions, and create social impact for today's most pressing problems. The Challenge has addressed issues from food insecurity in Prince George's County to the provision of emergency services to orphanages in Nepal, from climate change to childhood cancer, from medication recovery and delivery to residents in Ghana and Honduras to the creation of an emergency fall detection device, and so much more.

Milk x Honey Spoken Word Open Mic

Milk x Honey is an open mic hosted by UMD'S Terpoets bringing together a diversity of creators to share in a safe community of all media and curate a unique artistic experience by showcasing the exceptional talent in the College Park area. 

Open Rehearsal: NextLOOK: Be Steadwell

Join us for an open dress rehearsal! Composer and vocalist Be Steadwell tells stories of love, loss and intimacy with LGBTQ-affirming pop music. Following the 2018 release of her album Queer Love Songs, Steadwell brings her album to life through theater and performance. A Letter to My Ex is a collage of music, movement and film, narrating one character’s journey through the ups and downs of love.

Kurt Weill Festival: An Affair to Remember

One of the great Weill interpreters of our time, Austrian-born soprano Ute Gfrerer joins UMD faculty member Tim McReynolds for an evening focused on the remarkable love story of Kurt Weill and Lotte Lenya. Through Weill’s music, we explore the earliest days of their relationship, their immigration to America, and beyond.
