Terms and Conditions

Conditions of Sale

By placing an order, you agree to The Clarice’s conditions of sale and Privacy Policy.

Tickets Required

For ticketed events, every guest – regardless of age – must have a ticket.

Event Information and Admission

Event dates, times, artists, programs and prices are subject to change without notice.

Each ticket admits one. Each ticket is a revocable license to attend the event listed on the front of the ticket. We reserve the right to revoke the license, refuse admission or eject any person for violation of the law or terms or conditions hereof, including disorderly conduct, use of devices for recording, photographing or transmitting unless permission has been granted by the artist and The Clarice.

Events begin promptly at the published start time. For most events, we open venue doors 30 minutes prior to the published start time. If you arrive late, you may be admitted into the venue only at a pre-determined late-seating break and – for seated events – directed to a pre-determined seating location, which may differ from the seat location indicated on the front of your ticket. For some events, we do not allow any late seating; latecomers will be denied entry.

For free, ticketed events, we often issue more tickets than the available venue capacity. Once we have reached the venue capacity, we refuse admission to all others, including ticket holders. If we have not reached venue capacity 15 minutes prior to the published start time, we may allow non-ticket holders to claim seats.

Tickets may not be re-sold or transferred.

Discounts and Special Offers

Discounts or special offers are subject to availability and may expire without notice. Discounts and special offers cannot be applied retroactively or combined. Special offers – such as promotional codes – may not be transferred.

You may be required to prove eligibility for special offers or discounts either at the time of purchase or when using a ticket to gain admission. (Example: We may ask UMD students to present their UIDs when buying student tickets or when attempting to gain entry with student tickets.) If you cannot provide proof of eligibility, we reserve the right to refuse the sale, refuse admission or cancel any and all of your orders or tickets without notice, including any orders placed with the same name, email address, phone number, address, credit card number or other information.

Ticket Limits

Some events, ticket types, discounts or special offers have ticket limits. If you exceed a ticket limit, then we reserve the right to cancel any and all of your orders or tickets without notice, including any orders placed with the same name, email address, phone number, address, credit card number or other information.

Credit Card Sales

If you pay with credit card, your order is subject to credit card approval and billing address verification.

Gift Certificate Expirations

Gift Certificates expire four years after their issuance dates.

Account Credit Expirations

Account credits expire 12 months after their issuance dates.

Refunds and Exchanges

We do not allow refunds or exchanges on tickets for past events; group tickets; tickets purchased by – or from – authorized resellers; tickets that were transferred or re-sold; tickets that have been lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed; tickets claimed to be “not delivered;” gift certificates; merchandise items; fees; donations; memberships; subscriptions; or passes.

When we accept refunds or exchanges, we reserve the right to charge fees. If an exchange is made to a more expensive ticket type or event, then you must pay the additional cost at the time of the exchange. If your ticket is refunded or exchanged for a less expensive ticket type or event, then we may attempt to refund the difference to you or provide account credit for purchases within the next 12 months.

  • If you had paid with a still-valid credit card less than 120 days prior, we may refund the difference only to the same credit card account;
  • If you had paid with a still-valid credit card more than 119 days prior, we may refund the difference only to the same credit card account. You must provide us with the full credit card number and expiration date to process the refund;
  • If you had paid with cash, check, money order, Terrapin Express, or a now-expired or now-cancelled credit or debit card, you must complete and sign a Form W-9 so that the State of Maryland may issue a refund via check; or
  • If you had paid with any other form of payment or if you are unable to accept or refuse the appropriate option above, then we may only issue a gift certificate to the original purchaser or credit to the original order account.

Ticket and Item Delivery

Depending on the event or item, we offer several ticket delivery options, including mail, email or in-person pickup (will call). We do not allow third-party pick-ups, and we may require a photo ID to authorize pick up.

Emergency Preparedness

Emergency preparedness is a shared responsibility. Please familiarize yourself with University of Maryland’s emergency management plans at prepare.umd.edu.

If you are disabled (even temporarily), you should plan ahead for emergencies and be aware of your own capabilities and limitations. For planning assistance, contact firemarshal@umd.edu.

General

You acknowledge all risks incidental to any event for which you attend, whether occurring before, during or after the event, and hereby agree to assume the same. Admission to event venues is subject to compliance with applicable laws, by-laws, regulations, and venue rules. Failure to comply may result in non-admission or expulsion.

We reserve the right to make changes to this statement. Changes will be reflected here and will apply prospectively. You are encouraged to review the statement when you order tickets or attend an event.
