Join us for an open dress rehearsal! Composer and vocalist Be Steadwell tells stories of love, loss and intimacy with LGBTQ-affirming pop music. Following the 2018 release of her album Queer Love Songs, Steadwell brings her album to life through theater and performance. A Letter to My Ex is a collage of music, movement and film, narrating one character’s journey through the ups and downs of love.

While living in Ankara, Turkey, Tacy Surrett had the privilege to interview hundreds of refugees about their challenging yet hopeful experiences fighting for their livelihoods and their families. Small Ships With Large Hearts is an exhibit of monologues, poetry, and photographs which aims to humanize the journey of a refugee and displays real stories of refugees from around the world.
Classically Dope takes you on an hour-long musical journey in the evolution of hip-hop at MilkBoy Arthouse. Classically Dope is a hip-hop/rap and classical music collaboration between Konshens the MC and Wavelength Winds (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn). Using music as an instrument of positive social influence, the ensemble tackles subjects such as the power of belief, racial inequality, stereotypes, police brutality, and being a change agent in the world. Hang out after the session to continue the conversation with the artists.
