Fall Choral Collage: Tactus and UMD Treble Choir

The University of Maryland Treble Choir and Tactus ensembles will present choral works celebrating the joy and strength that comes from joining voices together as one! Their performance will include selections by emerging composers such as  Elaine Hagenberg and Jacob Narverud, as well as treasured choral favorites arranged for Soprano-Alto and Tenor-Bass ensembles.

Orchestra Concerto Competition Prelims: UMD Symphony Orchestra

Join the search for the UMD Symphony Orchestra’s next featured soloist. In the first round of this exciting competition, UMD School of Music students perform concerto excerpts or concert pieces for an independent jury panel. With each round of the competition, the field narrows until the final round, when a winner and runners-up are announced.

Orchestra Concerto Competition Finals: UMD Symphony Orchestra

UMD School of Music students vie for the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the UMD Symphony Orchestra in the final round of this annual competition. Finalists perform 15- to 20-minute excerpts of a concerto or concert piece for an independent jury panel. Following the jury’s deliberation, a winner and runners-up will be announced.
