Unity Mural

The Unity Mural project brings students and faculty from Bowie State University and University of Maryland College Park together to create a mural that takes a stand against divisiveness and reflects upon themes of peace, justice and unity.  This collaboration presents an opportunity for the students to spark a dialogue and call to action for our community.

Family Art Day: La Manta

Infused with the passion of flamenco, the funky irreverence of Latin rock, the smooth syncopation of jazz and the mathematical precision of classical music, La Manta turns traditional Mexican music on its head. In this texturally diverse fusion performance, the group hums with Mexican pride while showcasing its wide range and buoyantly energetic sound. Join us for a special family-friendly performance by this popular band from Veracruz preceded by craft activities for kids and salsa dance lessons for parents. Lunch will be provided.
