The National Orchestral Institute + Festival's Orchestral Futurist Fellowship in partnership with the Sphinx Organization combines arts administration, orchestral performance, festival curation and community engagement. This year, The Clarice will deliver the National Orchestral Institute + Festival at Home! Throughout June 2020, NOI+F students will continue their orchestral training virtually and audiences will experience in-depth conversations through NOI+F at Noon streams, the virtual SPARK! Lounge and Saturday evening Philharmonic broadcasts.
NOI+F’s popular noon series features recitals from home, Q&As with leaders in the field and discussions on health and wellness. On June 26, School of Music Assistant Professor for Musicology William Robin moderates a conversation with members of Brooklyn Rider.

On June 19, retired Pittsburgh Symphony Principal Second Violin Jennifer Ross hosts a lively conversation with Pittsburgh Symphony Music Director Manfred Honeck and Berlin Philharmonic Concertmaster Noah Bendix-Balgley. They will discuss life in an orchestra, auditions and memorable performances they shared together while in the Pittsburgh Symphony.
