Is there a song you’ve been dying to perform that traditionally wouldn’t be sung by someone who looks like you? TDPS Backwards is here to shatter those gender norms and give students a space to sing ANY broadway song they want regardless of gender identity, race, age, etc. Inspired by Broadway Backwards, UTAS felt a need to have a fun night where students could sing songs from their favorite musicals regardless of how it is/was originally performed. Voluntary donations received the night of the performance will go to Broadway Cares’ initiative to finding a cure for AIDS.
The UMD Men's Chorus hosts other DC-Metro Area tenor-bass ensembles for an evening of vibrant collaborations.
The Maryland Opera Studio's production of Kurt Weill's Zaubernacht and Mahagonny Songspiel explores the perils of over-indulgence and addiction. Join us for a lively discussion as we examine our dependence on technology and the ways in which media over-saturates our daily lives. How does this affect the way we experience life, build relationships, process grief, and ultimately, avoid the reality of our emotions?
During the University’s Year of Immigration, we explore the possibilities open to those who wish to live the American Dream. Come join us for a lively discussion with Maestro Craig Kier, Stage Director Amanda Consol, and Weill Scholar Naomi Graber.
Dynamic dance team presents the 2019 Rip the Floor Competition! Enjoy a night of amazingly talented showcasing and competing teams.

A new kind of choral experience: learn your part and sing a song in harmony, all in one fun evening! (un)choir turns the tables on traditional choir. No auditions, no rehearsals, no long-term commitment - just show up and sing a song you love!
You will get a lyric sheet, then Allison Hughes, music director for College Park Chorale, will teach you 2 or 3 part harmony to a well-known song. To cap the evening off, you'll then sing your heart out with a choir of your new best friends!
In honor of his recent farewell tour, this event's song will be "America" by Paul Simon.
