Maryland Shakespeare Players Spring 2023 Mainstage Production

Vampires. Werewolves. Two households, both alike in dignity.

The Maryland Shakespeare Players are proud to present Romeo and Juliet, fully realized as we believe Shakespeare originally intended –with magic, music and creatures of the night.

We hope you will join us in the Cafritz Theater for a story of deep-seated rivalry, passionate romance, and woeful tragedy. Admission is free.

Audience Advisory: This show features fake blood, staged violence, choreographed intimacy, themes of self harm and portrayal of suicide.

U.S. Navy Concert Band

The United States Navy Concert Band, the premier wind ensemble of the U.S. Navy, presents a wide array of marches, patriotic selections, orchestral transcriptions and modern wind ensemble repertoire. As the original ensemble of the Navy Band, the Concert Band has been performing public concerts and participating in high-profile events for more than 95 years.

One of the leading Spanish concert pianists in the international scene, Daniel del Pino has played all across the world including illustrious venues in Brazil, Japan, Mexico, the United States and more. For this Guest Artist series performance, del Pino presents a selection of works by Isaac Albéniz and Frédéric Chopin.

Henson Awards Showcase 2023

The talented student recipients of the Jim Henson Fund for Puppetry perform AND present their funded projects.

The School of Theatre, Dance and Performance Studies hosts an annual competition and recipients are awarded funds to create a puppet project or performance. The Jim Henson Fund for Puppetry was established by Jane Henson '55 to honor the memory of Jim Henson '60, creator of the world famous Muppets.

Thalea String Quartet is thrilled to be sharing Seven Miniatures—a collection of short works for string quartet and electronics that celebrates neurodiversity through music. The works are composed by different artists, who were brought togther through Xenia Concerts and National access Arts Centre's sound.colLab program, a unique co-creation project that celebrates neurodiversity through music.
