Since its founding in 1975, hundreds of voices have joined together to share joyous music through UMD’s very own gospel choir. Committed to encouraging fellowship and community service, this group is composed of gospel music lovers across campus.

89.7 WTMD's Saturday Morning Tunes: "Frozen" with Outcalls

If you have young children, you already know all the words to the soundtracks of "Frozen!" And, on Saturday March 4, 89.7 WTMD's Saturday Morning Tunes is thrilled to partner with The Clarice to present a brand new "Frozen" stage show featuring songs from both movies, performed by the classically trained opera singers Outcalls.

2022–23 Arts & Humanities Dean’s Lecture Series Featuring Dionne Warwick in Conversation With Dean Stephanie Shonekan

For her first Dean’s Lecture Series as dean of the College of Arts and Humanities, Stephanie Shonekan will be in conversation with legendary singer, activist and philanthropist Dionne Warwick. Shonekan and Warwick share a rich background in music. Shonekan is an esteemed ethnomusicologist, and Warwick is an award-winning, chart-topping musician. They will discuss the connection between music and social justice and how celebrities can catalyze positive change in the world. They will also delve into a timely dialogue around race, culture, identity and history.

Join us and experience the holiday community spirit as the FAME Jazz Band, directed by Dr. Clarence Knight, FAME Jazz Ensemble and FAME graduates come together for a live performance of their new holiday CD: A Jazzy Holiday – a collection of holiday favorites in traditional and contemporary jazz stylings.
