College Park, MD— The innovative and exuberant Pointless Theatre Company presents three world-premiere puppet spectacles at Joe’s Movement Emporium in Mount Rainier, Maryland on October 11 at 7pm. The performance is part of NextLOOK, a new incubator series presented by The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center and Joe’s Movement Emporium.

TDPS Faculty to Lead Latin American Studies Center

Dr. Laurie Frederik, associate professor in the University of Maryland School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies and a faculty member in the Department of Anthropology, has been appointed director of the Latin American Studies Center. In addition to her current teaching positions, Frederik will oversee the undergraduate certificate program and activities that give Maryland students access to campus resources about Latin America.

Masterclass with Peter Wiley and Anna Polonsky

Gain insight into the process behind a musician’s training when students from the UMD School of Music cello and piano studios refine their repertoire and technique with guidance from cellist Peter Wiley and pianist Anna Polonsky.
