Pints + Poses: Yoga at MilkBoy ArtHouse

Enjoy an after work flow yoga class compliments of Numi Yoga and enjoy drink specials together afterwards at MilkBoy ArtHouse. Class will be approximately an hour long. Participants can expect to move through a range of poses to relieve stress, build strength and increase mobility - all ages and abilities welcome.

Some yoga mats will be provided but please feel free to bring your own. Class is free of charge and we will be accepting donations (cash or credit card) to support arts and music opportunities for local students.

Open Rehearsal with James Ross

Ever wondered what happens in the rehearsals before the concert?  Here's a unique opportunity to hear the National Orchestral Institute Philharmonic in rehearsal with conductor James Ross.   

As a courtesy to the musicians, please arrive early and be seated prior to the start of the rehearsal.  Late seating will occur during orchestra breaks and at the discretion of the front of house staff.

Ever wonder what happens in the rehearsals before the concert?  Here's a unique opportunity to hear the National Orchestral Institute Philharmonic in rehearsal with conductor JoAnn Falletta.  We have opened our choir loft seating and stage boxes so you can hear every note!

As a courtesy to the musicians, please arrive early and be seated prior to the start of the rehearsal.  Late seating to the choir loft and stage boxes will occur during orchestra breaks and at the discretion of the usher.

David Flyr and Christine Hands Collaborative Performance

This collaboration between the School of Music and the Department of Dance features 8 musicians and 7 dancers moving together onstage in the spirit of collaboration in a 40-minute work about the Refugee Crisis. With direction by David Flyr, original music composed by Pablo Salazar, and choreography arranged by Christine Hands, this dance and music event has been a year in the making. This project is funded by an M-Cubator grant from the School of Music.

Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra

The new Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra (BCJO) is a 17-piece big band founded by baritone saxophonist Brad Linde and co-directed by Linde and Joe Herrera. The BCJO presents a variety of music from big band literature and features some of the District's best musicians. From its April 2010 debut until March 2016, the BCJO performed every Monday evening at the Historic Bohemian Caverns on U Street.

MilkBoy ArtHouse offers full dinner and bar service. Advance ticket purchase and early arrival is suggested to guarantee seating.
