Memorialize your 2018 with the NextNOW Time Capsule. Housing photos and notes from attendees, and relevant music and items, this capsule will offer future students insight as to what was happening, as well as alumni the opportunity to reminisce. They say the college years fly by, so help us save a moment of them with the time capsule!

On display through May 2019, this exhibit showcases five digital prints of works of art from 1616 illustrating the 1615 Ommegang pageant in Brussels. These were primary sources for the study of festive culture and the history of street performance in early modern Europe.
Painted during NextNOW Fest 2017, the Unity Mural project brought together students and faculty from Bowie State University and University of Maryland, College Park to create a mural that takes a stand against divisiveness. View the completed mural and reflect on its themes of peace, justice and unity.

A worldwide movement for social change, the Human Library is designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue. Sign up in the Grand Pavilion to check out human “books” for a 20-minute conversation and learn about their point of view. We will have 11-14 books each night. A sample of our book titles include "Arab," "But You Don't Look Sick," & "Token Black Girl."
