Swing into an evening of jazz! You won’t want to miss three of the UMD School of Music's exemplary jazz ensembles in a performance celebrating works from across the genre, including innovative interpretations of classic and contemporary pieces. For this concert, the UMD Jazz Ensembles are joined by Keyon Harrold, a genre-defying artist hailed as "the future of the trumpet" by Downbeat Magazine.
Representing a variety of majors across campus, the University Band is joined by the Maryland Community Band for a concert of traditional and contemporary wind band music in a performance perfect for all ages.

The UMD High School Choir Invitational puts the spotlight on the future of choral music as talented area high school choirs gather for vibrant performances alongside the choirs of the UMD School of Music.

J.S. Bach, known as the great master, wrote more than 200 cantatas, and UMD Choral Activities aims to sing them all in this series of short performances led by conductors in the graduate program. Conducted by a graduate student from the choral conducting program, this performance will feature a Bach Cantata that will be announced closer to the concert.
The University Orchestra performs its October concert. Repertoire will be announced closer to the performance.
