Grammy and Emmy award winning ensemble, Time For Three, defies convention and boundaries by showcasing excellence across different genres, including classical music, Americana and singer-songwriter. Their unique sound captivates audiences, immersing them in a musical experience that merges various eras, styles and traditions of Western music.

Monét X Change

ABOUT THE EVENT

Born and bred in New York City, Monét X Change is an entertainment spitfire and the first double crown winner from "Rupaul's Drag Race" having earned the title Miss Congeniality on Season 10 and becoming the first queen of color inducted into the hall of fame after winning All-Stars 4.

Known for delivering energetic and show-stopping performances, Monét's showmanship is a reflection of a tireless work ethic to cultivate and perfect her immaculate lip-syncing skills, comedic chops and (mostly) pitch-perfect live singing skills.

Mavis Staples

The legendary, multi-Grammy Award winning superstar Mavis Staples is a quintessential American voice and a not-to-be-missed powerhouse performer!

ABOUT THE EVENT

Ntozake Shange’s highly influential 1976 choreopoem for colored girls… might well be the most performed and important piece of theater created expressly by and for Black women in the history of the United States. The work has been adapted for both film and television and can boast a Tony-nominated Broadway revival as recently as 2022. UMD School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies faculty members Ama Law and Fatima Quander direct a loving rendition of Shange’s masterpiece that proves its timelessness.
