A mixed-bill evening of dance ranging from classical to contemporary dance, Fall Forward features performances from The Ngoma School Students. DDT presents three world premieres Rise, The Winds of Time, and The Happy Hour. Rise explores three men and the range of emotion they experience in the midst of uncertainty, fear, pain, and hope - like dust...They rise. The Winds of Time (Choreographed by UMD's Alvin Mayes) honors and gives a home-going to soul-singer, Aretha Franklin.

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, bring your family to make simple crafts and hear the music of DC-based Los Gallos Negros, a collective of musicians focused on preserving and promoting musical genres from Mexican and Latin American culture. From rural son jarocho to urban mariachi styles and contemporary Caribbean rhythms, Los Gallos are an eclectic musical ensemble working to make the modern more traditional and the traditional more modern. Members of the group hail from throughout the U.S., and all have strong roots in Mexico. Lunch provided!
