Family Art Day: Los Gallos Negros
To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, bring your family to make simple crafts and hear the music of DC-based Los Gallos Negros, a collective of musicians focused on preserving and promoting musical genres from Mexican and Latin American culture. From rural son jarocho to urban mariachi styles and contemporary Caribbean rhythms, Los Gallos are an eclectic musical ensemble working to make the modern more traditional and the traditional more modern. Members of the group hail from throughout the U.S., and all have strong roots in Mexico. Lunch provided!
