Program Notes:

Enthusiastically embracing the traditions of straight-ahead jazz, Warren Wolf leaves quite the impression on the ears of jazz audiences. A local talent from Baltimore with a solid grounding in classical music, Wolf fell in love with jazz and honed his technique at the Berklee College of Music. He has performed and recorded with some of the jazz greats, including Wynton Marsalis, Nicholas Payton and Christian McBride and has several albums of original music. A multi-instrumental talent with an impressive background playing the vibraphone, piano, drums and marimba, Wolf has been hailed as the leading force on the vibraphone and has performed to rave reviews at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

"Warren Wolf appears to be on a path to stardom as arguably the most exciting bop vibraphonist since Bobby Hutcherson." — JazzTimes
