Tanya Tagaq’s life story is as fascinating as her music. Her connection to her Native heritage is deep and is the driving force that informs all of her work.

She will be sharing a meal with several UMD Native students before giving a talk accompanied by images of her environment that will focus on her Inuit upbringing and her call to activism on behalf of all indigenous people.
