Position Summary

The Scenic Artist provides assistance to the Scenic Charge Coordinator in the supervision and execution of the day-to-day operations of The Clarice. Candidates should be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, work safely and quickly and exhibit professional behavior at all times.

Requirements

  • The scenic artists should be extremely artistic and creative, and possess a vast knowledge of scenic painting techniques, color mixing, texture, layout and paint application skills, traditional drawing, and sculpting, as well as wood graining and marbling, among other baseline paint/construction skill sets.

  • Position may include supervised and unsupervised work as directed by the Scenic Charge Coordinator

  • Follow and instruct others on the rules and regulations of The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.

Work Hours are generally weekdays with occasional weekend calls.
