On their first recital of the spring semester, critically acclaimed Graduate Fellowship Woodwind Quintet SIREN performs a recital of suites by these renowned 20th century composers: Ravel, Tomasi, Valjean and d’Rivera.

The quintet…came up with the name SIREN on their own…However, the name itself is not an acronym.
“It’s almost like an onomatopoeia,” [Matthew] Gray said. “… There are multiple meanings, like emergency sirens and sirens as, like, warnings or like the singing sirens from ‘The Odyssey’ mythology, that sort of thing.”
