UMD Mutual Aid is hosting an upcycling workshop where you can participate in patch making, embroidery, making handy reusable items, and more! We will also be teaching mending and darning techniques to salvage clothes in need of repairs.
Sketchup, UMD’s premier sketch comedy group, hosts a night of laughs and fun as they showcase both live and video sketches!
Experience a showcase of dance work choreographed, designed and performed by undergraduate and graduate students from the UMD School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies!

Co-sponsored by University Recreation & Wellness with student groups Skateboarding Club at UMD and WeSkate UMD as partners, The Clarice’s Kogod Theatre will be transformed into an indoor skate park! Skaters of all levels are welcome to participate or spectate. If you have a helmet and skateboard or roller skates, bring your own! We will also have skateboards and safety gear available to borrow. Helmets and signed waivers are required.

Experience projects developed during the Immersive Media Design Program’s New Works Incubator, a six-week summer development program designed to support the creation of immersive media projects by students from across the UMD campus. The Incubator enables individual student creators and teams to explore new areas of immersive media and to create works based on their own interests and initiative.

Soul & Ink will provide a fun screen printing activation that blurs the line between art and audiences. Participants can choose between four custom design art pieces specially created for NextNOW Fest!
