Excelsa Plays Trios (OFF-SITE)
On their final concert of the semester, Excelsa performs a concert of string trios by Schubert, Kodály, Beethoven and Mozart.
Program:
- Schubert - String Trio in B flat Major, D 471
- Kodály - Intermezzo for String Trio
- Beethoven - String Trio No. 3 in G Major, Op. 9, No. 1
- Mozart - Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, K. 478 (with Dr. Kenneth Slowik, piano)
Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras CONCERT: Celebrating 70 years!
Since 1946, MCYO has provided top orchestral training for aspiring young musicians in the metropolitan Washington region. This 70th Anniversary celebratory concert features MCYO's 3 String Orchestras: Preparatory Strings, Chamber Strings and the elite Chamber Ensemble. Music by Stamitz, Bach, Orozco, Copland, Grieg, Bartok and Boccherini, featuring soloist Caleb Kim.
