A musical production featuring the beautiful sounds of the steel pan. Performed by the students of The Cultural Academy for Excellence (“CAFE”), a 19-year-old, award-winning, music-based academic and life-skills enrichment program. It was started in 1996 with the goal of encouraging young people to stay in school, stay out of trouble and perform well academically.
This fall the Gamer Symphony Orchestra returns with another epic performance of various themes from video games! Join us for two hours of intense fun and immersive music brought to you by our completely student-run symphonic rock orchestra and choir.
After the performance, Maryland Opera Studio Director Craig Kier moderates the pre-performance panel in a discussion about the myriad of issues to consider within the powerful Lucretia story.
