Do Good Dialogue: Artmaking as an Actionable tool

wild Up is a band of Los Angeles musicians committed to creating visceral, thought-provoking happenings. The group, led by artistic director and conductor Christopher Rountree, unites around the belief that no music is off limits, and that a concert space should be as moving as the music heard in it: small, powerful and unlike anything else.

Music+Innovation

The National Orchestral Institute and Festival joins with the UMD Academy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship to launch Music+Innovation, a place where musicians join with creative innovators to examine, rethink and renovate the orchestral experience. Intrigued? So are we!

See NOI musicians close-up and personal in the brand new MilkBoy ArtHouse on Route 1! Come hear live chamber music classics, klezmer music, creative improvisation and more! Food and drinks for sale, street and lot parking available.

Do Good Dialogue: Hands Up, Don't Shoot!

Keith A. Wallace's explosive solo performance draws on his youth in Philadelphia to examine the effects of racism, the question of excessive force used by police, and the value of Black lives in this country.

In this Do Good Dialogue, join Wallace, campus law enforcement officials and members of the Nyumburu Center’s Black Male Initiative for a conversation about what it’s like to be black in America, coping with trauma and how to instill hope in young people living with unimaginable challenges.
