This year, The Clarice will deliver the National Orchestral Institute + Festival at Home! Throughout June 2020, NOI+F students will continue their orchestral training virtually and audiences will experience in-depth conversations through NOI+F at Noon streams, the virtual SPARK! Lounge and Saturday evening Philharmonic broadcasts.
NOI+F’s popular noon series features recitals from home, Q&As with leaders in the field and discussions on health and wellness. On June 26, School of Music Assistant Professor for Musicology William Robin moderates a conversation with members of Brooklyn Rider.

On June 19, retired Pittsburgh Symphony Principal Second Violin Jennifer Ross hosts a lively conversation with Pittsburgh Symphony Music Director Manfred Honeck and Berlin Philharmonic Concertmaster Noah Bendix-Balgley. They will discuss life in an orchestra, auditions and memorable performances they shared together while in the Pittsburgh Symphony.

Jane Hirshberg, The Clarice's Assistant Director for Campus and Community Engagement, interviews MacArthur award winning choreographer Liz Lerman to discuss her career and creative process. Specifically, the discussion will cover how Liz finds entry points into her work on challenging and non-standard work.
