The Gift is an immersive, interactive performance that invites the audience to transition from self-reflection to action and advocacy over the course of the event. Sometime in the U.S.'s future, when most illnesses have been cured, two doctors host the first clinical trial for the societally destructive infectious agent Preston-Weche-Rhys – the source of white supremacy culture – with the audience cast as the subjects.

Responsive Wild considers and questions notions of womanhood and femininity. Inspired by family history, rock and roll, and physics concepts, Harris investigates these ideas through highly physical, bold and expansive movement. The work is in conversation with feminist theories and reveals a complex interrelationship of the inside/outside body and its potential for energetic expression.

The Fearless New Play Festival is a four-day celebration of new scripts in development that address urgent issues of today. The festival kicks off on November 19 with a speech by nationally renowned keynote playwright Lauren Yee. The festival features staged readings of new short plays by current TDPS students and alumni from November 19-22.

If beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, then the person who is observing gets to decide what is beautiful. This Arts Citizenship Talk evaluates what it means to make a dance about hardship and struggle under the gaze of whiteness. Dance iconoclast Botis Seva and his UK-based dance company Far From The Norm doggedly explore the individual psyche and the sociopolitical soul through their works. Through them, they also strive to understand what humans do to persevere.
