Chamber Singers Raise Funds for Prestigious South Korean Performance

The University of Maryland Chamber Singers are one of only twenty choirs in the world that has been chosen to participate in the 10th World Symposium on Choral Music, held this August in Seoul, South Korea. Help them get there!

This triennial event, sponsored by the International Federation for Choral Music, is the most prestigious gathering of choirs in the world and it recognizes only the highest levels of musical accomplishment. As only one other American choir that has been invited for 2014, the UMD Chamber Singers will be performing with some of the very best professional European, Asian and South American choral ensembles.

To ensure that financial need does not keep any of the choristers from participating in this incredible opportunity, the UMD Chamber Singers set a fundraising goal of $8,000 to defray the costs of travel to South Korea.
