The University of Maryland School of Music and Associate Director of Bands Andrea Brown, in partnership with Atholton High School Director of Bands Eric Posner and Music for All, are hosting the first Mid-Atlantic Concert Band festival. Middle and high schools from across the mid-Atlantic will come together for a day of masterclasses, clinics and performances. The festival aims to build community amongst school-aged musicians while providing them with positive musical experiences and mentorship.
Music for All’s mission is to create, provide and expand positively life-changing experiences through music for all. More information can be found on their website.
This event is presented in collaboration with UMD's Arts for All initiative.
