Ambassador Michael Herzog will be speaking on "An Israeli Perspective on Current U.S.-Israel Relations. " There will be some Q&A and will be moderated by Prof. Scott Lasensky.

Michael Herzog was appointed as Israel’s Ambassador to the United States in the summer of 2021. Herzog is a retired IDF Brigadier General who has held senior positions in Israel's Ministry of Defense. The Ambassador’s career has included service as head of the IDF’s Strategic Planning Division, a member of the Intelligence Corps, and as an infantry soldier. Since 1993, Herzog has played a key role in the Arab-Israeli peace process, participating in a number of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. Prior to his nomination, Herzog was an International Fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and a Senior Fellow at the Jewish People Policy Institute.
