Lifelong DC-area native Malik Stewart picked up his drum sticks at age five, and hasn’t put them down since. He honed his technique of precise, explosively energetic drumming through years in marching band, which evolved into a hip-hop-inflected brand of his own – D.O.P.E. (Definition of Percussion Entertainment). He’s performed throughout the country, and alongside artists like Usher Raymond, Wale, Mike Will Made It, Rae Sremmurd, BackYard Band and D.R.A.M.
