The JACK Quartet joins the School of Music Composer Colloquium as special guests in this open to the public event.

The Composer Colloquium is a weekly graduate student-led meeting of composition majors, faculty and enthusiasts, at which attendees present their pieces of music, share their compositional ideas and discuss a range of issues. The discussions include artistic philosophies, important questions from music theory, the business of being a professional composer today and more. Throughout the year, the Colloquium also invites a number of accomplished guest composers and performers of contemporary music from outside the University of Maryland to present on their compositional beliefs, musical output and careers.
