An exciting feature of the MFA in Design program in the School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies is the annual public portfolio exhibit and review. See the class and production work of the graduate costume, set, lighting, and projection design students, including scenic models and full costumes.

This year the exhibit is co-hosted by several DC-area artistic directors, including Janet Griffin of Folger Theatre, Adam Immerwahr of Theater J, Jason Loewith of Olney Theatre Center, Ryan Rilette of Roundhouse Theatre, Eric Schaeffer of Signature Theatre, Howard Shalwitz of Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, and Janet Stanford of Imagination Stage, as well as DC playwright and director Aaron Posner.

In the past few years our respondents have included designers and directors such as Paloma Young, Donyale Werle, Jeff Croiter, Ming Cho Lee, John Lee Beatty, David Korins, Ken Posner, Linda Roethke, Serge Seiden, Joy Zinnoman, John Iacovelli, Aaron Posner, Don Holder, Jane Greenwood, James Kronzer, Mary Zimmerman, Jim Ingalls, Paul Tazewell and Anna Kuzmanic.
