To celebrate the release of his Solo Bach CD, faculty artist James Stern presents a recital of music for unaccompanied violin. Bach’s G minor Sonata is followed by two magnificent 20th Century works clearly modeled upon it: Sonata no. 1 by Eugène Ysaÿe, and Sonata by Béla Bartók.
