National Festival Orchestra: Brahms Second Symphony
National Festival Orchestra
Conductor Rossen Milanov
Rossen Milanov, a frequent guest on the podium on many of the country's top orchestras, returns to lead the National Festival Orchestra in three works of boundless color and excitement.
- Henri Dutilleux: Métaboles
- Richard Strauss: Suite from Der Rosenkavalier
- Johannes Brahms: Symphony No. 2
The National Orchestral Institute Festival brings together aspiring orchestral musicians from across the country for a month of dynamic music-making and professional exploration. Chosen by a rigorous, cross-country audition process, these young artists present passionate and awe-inspiring performances of adventuresome repertoire at The Clarice and in the community.
Review by The Washington Post
