Both veterans and community members are invited to participate in papermaking workshops where uniforms worn in service will be transformed into handmade paper. The workshops will be an opportunity to engage in the process, share experiences and create works of art.
“We use the transformative process of papermaking to reclaim their uniform as art and share our collective responsibilities and understanding of military service and warfare,” says Drew Cameron, co-founder of Combat Paper Project.
Veteran Student Life at the Adele H. Stamp Student Union and the Art & Learning Center are community partners on this project.
This event is part of our Civil War to Civil Rights: The Well-Being of a Nation series.
