Benjamin Pasternack will conduct a piano masterclass with select students from the UMD School of Music. In this informal event that is open to the public, Pasternack will give students feedback on works by Beethoven, Granados and Liszt.

Among the most experienced and versatile musicians today, Pasternack joined the piano faculty of the Peabody Conservatory of Music in September 1997. He has performed with some of the most prestigious orchestras around the world, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, the Tonhalle Orchestra of Zurich, the New Japan Philharmonic and the Orchestre National de France.
