Ms. Jacki G. began working with the University of Maryland in 1987 as the administrative assistant for the National Orchestral Institute and three International Competitions, and she also handled donor relations. Jacki joined The Clarice in 1998 while the building was under construction, serving as the Box Office Manager for the Concert Society and the administrative assistant to the International Competitions.

Jacki now serves as The Clarice liaison to several departments at the University of Maryland including Accounts Payable, College Park Foundation and the Division of Information Technology. Jacki also trains and manages the students in the Finance and Administration department. Jacki ensures that vendors are paid in a timely manner and that phones, and data jack support is provided to staff and renters when needed. She also manages the receptionist duties in Suite 3800.

Jacki has taken English, Psychology and Excel courses at the College Park campus and has also volunteered with MEI's Speaking Partners Program to assist international students with the English language and culture. Jacki G. is a faithfully devoted church member, missionary and singer. Jacki G. loves music, theatre and opera. Some say she is a diva in her own right.

What is your favorite part about working at The Clarice?

I enjoy working with and learning from the students, and I enjoy taking time to show my support by engaging in their activities and attending their performances. It gives me great pleasure to be part of their educational and professional experience at the University of Maryland and The Clarice.
