Cafritz Foundation Theatre
The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Theatre (up to 86 seats) is a black box theatre used for performances, lectures, meetings and special events.
The Dance Theatre (207 seats), with a wood-sprung floor and retractable seats, can accommodate performances, lectures, workshops and rehearsals.
Dekelboum Concert Hall
The Elsie & Marvin Dekelboum Concert Hall (970 seats plus a 126-seat choir loft) augments the big, sweeping sounds of large ensembles while providing each seat with a wonderful view of the stage.
Gildenhorn Recital Hall
The Joseph & Alma Gildenhorn Recital Hall (297 seats) is an intimate, jewel-box theatre with bright acoustics that is a favorite among audiences of solo and chamber artists.
The Ina & Jack Kay Theatre (626 seats) is a classic proscenium theatre with a large archway that frames the front of the stage. This versatile space can accommodate performances with large casts and elaborate sets.
The Robert & Arlene Kogod Theatre (up to 156 seats) is a multi-purpose, flexible black box space often used for performances, meetings and receptions.

As the main entrance to the Clarice Smith Center, the Grand Pavilion serves as the town square of our performing arts village. Approximately 3,800 square feet in size, it can comfortably accommodate up to 600 standing guests or 325 seated guests. Learn more.
The upper-most segment of the Grand Pavilion that leads out to the Theatre Courtyard, the Upper Pavilion serves as the perfect location for informal receptions of up to 110 guests. Learn more.
This lounge (up to 49 guests) serves as a meeting and reception space within the Center. Learn more.
The Theatre Courtyard is located outside Applause Café, near the administrative offices of the School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies. Learn more.
Ulrich Recital Hall
Located in Tawes Hall (across Lot 1 from the Center), Ulrich Recital Hall seats up to 172 guests for un-ticketed lecture and music events. Learn more.

The Center's unique design brings together, under one roof, all the resources of our academic and community partners.
School of Music
Leah M. Smith Hall
Commonly used for pre-performance lectures or solo recitals, this lecture hall (90 seats) is located near the School of Music administrative offices. Learn more.
The music rehearsal studios range in size to accommodate solo, chamber or large ensemble rehearsals. Learn more.
School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies
The TDPS studios are the perfect venues for theatre and dance rehearsals, master classes and workshops. Learn more.
Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library
The Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library is a 23,000 square foot research library located within the Center. Its International Piano Archives at Maryland is one of the world's most extensive concentrations of piano recordings, books, scores and related materials, including 96% of all commercial piano recordings and two-ton computerized Bosendorfer 290SE grand piano, one of 13 in the world. The Prince George's Room
M-NCPPC maintains a partnership with the Clarice Smith Center to ensure Prince George's County residents and arts organizations have access to the Center's resources. Learn more.
