Cafritz Foundation Theatre

Cafritz Foundation Theatre

Located at the top of the grand staircase, The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Theatre is a black box theatre that seats up to 86 people.

Dance Theatre

Dance Theatre

The main public entrance to the Dance Theatre is located on the second floor, easily accessed from a small set of stairs to the right of the main entrance.

The Dance Theatre has a wood-sprung floor and retractable seats that can accommodate 207 patrons. Learn more.

Dekelboum Concert Hall

From our main entrance, you'll find The Elsie & Marvin Dekelboum Concert Hall on your left.

With 970 seats plus a 126-seat choir loft, this is our biggest performance space. Learn more.

Gildenhorn Recital Hall

Located at the base of the grand staircase, The Joseph & Alma Gildenhorn Recital Hall is an intimate, 297-seat venue with bright acoustics. Learn more.

Kay Theatre

Kay Theatre

The Ina & Jack Kay Theatre is located to the right of the main entrance.

This classic proscenium theatre features a large archway framing the front of the stage and seats up to 626 patrons. Learn more.

Kogod Theatre

Kogod Theatre

Located to the left of the Kay Theatre, The Robert & Arlene Kogod Theatre is a multi-purpose, flexible black box space that can seat up to 156 patrons. Learn more.

Leah M. Smith Hall

This lecture hall is located near the entrance to the UMD School of Music. From our main entrance, walk up the grand staircase, continue past Applause Café and take a left down the hallway. Learn more.

Clarice Courtyard

The Clarice Courtyard is located outside Applause Café, near the administrative offices of the UMD School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies. Learn more.

The International Piano Archives at Maryland's Piano Room is housed within the Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library, located near our ticket office. Learn more.

Located in Tawes Hall (across Lot 1 from The Clarice), Ulrich Recital Hall seats up to 172 patrons for lecture and music events. Learn more.
