Join the UMD Wind Ensemble for a performance that brings together English Folk and contemporary American music. Works by Percy Grainger and Ralph Vaughan Williams, with their signature lilt and jaunt, transport audience members across the pond, to the shores of Ireland and the moors of England. The program is rounded out by American composers Paul Dooley and Jennifer Higdon, whose pieces are inspired by the artistry of others.

PROGRAM

Percy Grainger: Molly on the Shore
Paul Dooley: Meditation on Lagunitas

Jennifer Higdon: Aspire
Percy Grainger: Lincolnshire Posey
