This ScreenDance activates queer imagination through the layered composition of movement, clothing, and fantasy. Themes explored are motifs of codes, gaze, euphoria, magical realism, and technologies of intervention.
quiero ser mas que un mosaico by Javier Padilla
Concept and choreography: Javier Padilla
quiero ser mas que un mosaico is a prismatic collage of identity that explores the body as a medium, archive and disruptor. Through movement, text and video, the performer and audience collaborate to create a kaleidoscopic performance that explores queerness, latinidad and love of one's body.
TDPS’ Experimental Performance Series provides a research laboratory for undergraduate and graduate students to develop new work for the stage, including plays, devised theater pieces and choreographic explorations that demonstrate student creativity and curiosity.
