“To confront the enemy without we must first confront the enemy within.”

- bell hooks

Night Light is a reflective examination of the current discordant American crisis of identity. Performed in a survival horror setting, Night Light investigates what our innermost monsters represent...discovering how we face and conquer those monsters emboldened by faith that the conflict will improve us. Through visceral athletic movement, this work explores themes of self-preservation, transformation and wholeness to a haunting musical score. This work is about seeing who will get out alive. To survive, however, we must walk down the dark alley. Discover the noise in the basement. Solve the killer’s identity. In the end, Night Light requires performers and audience alike to understand what our perceptions of our internal monsters, villains or enemies say about our own state of being.
