Dance Place is located in the Brookland neighborhood, a short walk from Brookland/CAU Metro Station on the Red Line. Dance Place has a commitment to serving the rich cultural diversity of our nation, city and immediate neighborhood through a wide variety of affordable and free programs. Our Art on 8th free outdoor programming provides performances, workshops and recreation throughout Brookland / Edgewood and at our 8th St Arts Park. Our work in creative placemaking has gained national attention and recognition. Dance Place works collaboratively with other non-profits, local businesses, artists and civic associations to assist in Brookland / Edgewood’s continued revitalization.
