Program Notes:

Under the new leadership of Dr. Michael Votta, the UMD Wind Ensemble introduces audiences to new works for wind band, and continues its tradition of performing some of the most respected works in the repertoire.

This concert features one of Paul Hindemith’s most popular works, Symphonic Metamorphosis; a wind band arrangement of Bach’s Fantasia in G major for organ; and Ralph Vaughn Williams’ famous work for military band, Folk Song Suite.
