School of Music collaborative pianist faculty member Alexei Ulitin takes the spotlight, performing some of his favorite music from various periods. Featuring distinguished alumnus Leonid Sushansky on Mozart’s spirited G major violin sonata, and violin faculty member James Stern for the smoky romanticism of Respighi’s violin sonata, this performance is sure to be a delight! In recognition of the bravery of his compatriots back home, Ulitin performs two solo piano works by Ukrainian composers. To close, the trio come together for Moskowski’s scintillating Suite, Op. 71.

Program:

W.A. Mozart: Sonata in G, K301
Ottorino Respighi: Sonata in B minor
Myroslav Skoryk: Burlesque
Mikhail Shukh: De Profundis
Moritz Moskowski: Suite, Op. 71
