Sacred Spaces written and directed by Jordan Resnick

In a world devastated by climate disaster, survivors gather to memorialize the lost world 150 years post societal collapse. Claire, a budding prophet, forewarns of impending disaster. Will her town heed her advice? Will she discover who she is? Will anything ever be the same again? Find out in Sacred Spaces!

TBD: A Devised Theatrical Celebration produced by Alie Karambach, Natalia Corvoisier and Layali Aljirafi

This piece is devised celebration of, for and by students of color and queer students. This work follows the structure of the Neo-Futurists’ Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, with 11 two-minute plays, in an order chosen by the audience. The production arises from an inclusive and collaborative devising process that invites marginalized groups who are often forgotten or silenced in traditional white American theater and media to express themselves.

TDPS’ Experimental Performance Series provides a research laboratory for undergraduate and graduate students to develop new work for the stage, including plays, devised theater pieces and choreographic explorations that demonstrate student creativity and curiosity.

This event is part of Arts for All, a campuswide initiative which leverages the combined power of the arts, technology and social justice to address the grand challenges of our time.
