Heralded by the likes of Pitchfork, NPR Music and Paste, Black Belt Eagle Scout (Katherine Paul) stands as a powerful icon of radical indigenous queer feminism. The talented multi-instrumentalist grew up on the Swinomish Indian Reservation in northwest Washington state. KP's family chants, powwows and drumming deeply influence KP's music, which KP delivers "with passion and from the heart."

Join us for a live performance and Q&A moderated by NextNOW Fest student curator Kira Peck.

This event is part of NextNOW Fest 2020. NextNOW Fest is a Terps After Dark and an Arts & Humanities TerrapinSTRONG event.
