Equity Arc is an organization committed to building equity in classical music through offering specialized mentorship and opportunities for BIPOC aspiring musicians and working with institutions in the field to dismantle discriminatory practices and policies. The mission is to create a level playing field in classical music.
As an Equity Arc partnership organization, NOI+F has worked with Equity Arc to develop a common application that allows students of color to submit their materials to a variety of programs with a single click, simplifying the application process and allowing for more summer study options. Summer study opportunities at music festivals are invaluable for the developing musician and this partnership will work to make sure that those opportunities are equitably accessible.
