ABOUT THE EVENT

In partnership with TerpsVote, this nonpartisan pop-up is dedicated to help Terps register to vote, understand the basics of election day and voting out of state and to serve as a shared civic space around the 2024 General Election. Just like democracy, VOTE (fearlessly)! is participatory, with opportunities for students to share their civic pride and add to the conversation through different forms of public art. Stop by the booth each weekday of NextNOW Fest between 12PM and 2PM to speak with TerpsVote representatives to create your voting plan!

VOTE (fearlessly)! builds on ideas developed by the Creative Placemaking Design and Democracy studio in collaboration with Arts for All.

ABOUT NEXTNOW FEST

Started in 2014, Clarice Presents’ annual NextNOW Fest is an inspiring arts experience that celebrates imagination, creativity and community. In addition to the core festival nights at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, we’re thrilled to continue partnerships with student-led groups, academic departments and university-based arts venues to hold festival events throughout campus.

NextNOW Fest is a signature event in University of Maryland's Arts for All initiative, which leverages the combined power of the arts, technology and social justice to address the grand challenges of our time.
