The Repertoire Orchestra

Rehearsals: Monday and Wednesday, 3-5PM

The Repertoire Orchestra is an all-campus orchestra open to music majors, non-music majors, UMD faculty and staff, and members of the University of Maryland community. The orchestra plays a wide variety of projects, collaborations and repertoire.

University Chorale

An auditioned ensemble of 60 voices, the University Chorale is comprised of music majors and students from other disciplines across the campus.

UMD Men's Chorus

A choral ensemble that spans many genres from chant and classical music to pop and barbershop.

UMD Treble Choir

A choral ensemble that includes students from diverse fields of study. The Women's Chorus' repertoire spans all styles from classical to contemporary.

UMD Chamber Singers

The School of Music's most select choral ensemble, specializing in music from Renaissance, Baroque, and contemporary eras.

The University of Maryland Marching Band

Rehearsals: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 3-5PM, plus others as needed during the fall semester

Also known as the "Mighty Sound of Maryland," the UMD Marching Band brings together more than 250 members from across teh campus and performs at all Terrapin home football games.

The University of Maryland Pep Band

Open to members of the UMD Marching Band, the Pep Band performs at all men's Terrapin basketball games.

The University Band

University Band is an all-campus band comprising of students from all majors as well as university faculty and staff.

Non-Western Ensembles (Korean Percussion; Japanese Koto; Balinese Gamelan)

The UMD Musicology and Ethnomusicology Divisions sponsor three diverse world music ensembles: Korean Percussion (traditional p'ungmul and contemporary Samul Nori), Japanese Koto (string ensemble with koto and shakuhachi) and Balinese Gamelan (metallophone ensemble of gong kebyar style instruments).
